EDIT: They've now switched to an episodic model and are accepting pledges directly. http://deathfiregame.com/ They're looking for only 50 000$ to fund the first episode and they already got more than half that, a good sign.
It's the only game I heard of recently that wants to have a large (6-character) party and do turn-based combat in the Wizardry style. As a bonus we'll get complex RPG mechanics with stats such as fear of heights, in the Realms of Arkania styel.
Author Guido Henkel worked on RoA games but also on Planescape Torment, and his face is actually the Nameless One on the cover!
The Kickstarter is struggling to meet its goal, so please pitch in if you want this game to exist.
