I'm able to do all the rest of character creation, but when it comes time to type in my character's name(s,) I find that no input is being accepted by the game's name field. The field highlights, blue, and the cursor blinks, but nothing I type shows up there. Any help for this?

Which game are you experiencing this with? 6, 7, or 8?

Try [Ctrl]+[Tab] or [Ctrl]+[Alt].

If you've minimized your game at any point during character creation just press once left alt while you're back in the game. It unlocks keyboard (common problem with wiz after alttabbing).

Yeah, I found the problem myself, but I didn't know about that solution. - thanks for the reply! I really appreciate the help. Now I can tab out to check the instruction manual again. =)

If you're looking up info about races, classes, skills, etc, you can get the same info in-game by right clicking on the relevant item (race or class selection field; skill bar, etc).
