I have been through Martin's blufff but NOT through the mines area. I did the first two quests for T'Rang. I killed the Rapax. I found the catapult and investigated all rooms there. HOWEVER, there is no idol. I got through the door using the t'rang arm to get to the ghosts but didn't find the entrance to the idol. Youtube has a walk through that suggests that I need a pulse pick Where do I get this? I tried looking everywhere.

HELP
1. Yes you do need the idol.
2. There is a special way into the bluff from an area called the mines... opens up extra places.
To get there go back to the swamps area... cross the river and go right and up.

Well you have to take the idol in order to go with the plot but you dont really "need" it.
[spoiler]you can kill Marten[/spoiler]
Also a real solo run ends instantly if you to take the idol without having killed a specific entity,
so i usually cut the idol plot out for a solo and go with the spoiler option.
