So i've playing that mission, and although i've completed it once on simulator, in that difficulty setting, once I bomb the base and am trying to get back, my Stukas' engines will just slowly "gargle" and stop for no reason at all, about halfway to base... The fuel (the L letter indicator) is nearly full, temperatures are all ok, happens wether I'm using full throttle or not, and wether I'm damaged or not. Today I had 3 Stukas suffer the same problem at the same time about 2 km to base...
