I know this game originally needed DRM in the form of YuPLAY (no, not UPlay). It was Gaijin's own account system and provided yet another layer of DRM on top of other DRM (such as Steam).

Has the GOG version completely eliminated the need for any DRM at all, including YuPLAY?

Yes, Uplay is gone completely. Unfortunately so is the multiplayer for now. Still a great singleplayer game though. The company basically ported the multiplayer into their new MMO War Thunder.

Thank God. I might buy this again on GoG as YuPlay is basically a mess. I dislike steam, but YuPlay takes the biscuit; I particularly hated the way that my retail version of the gold edition of this kept "forgetting" it had the addon installed.
