I just bought WC3 and 4, clicked to download part 1 of WC4 and my firewall says the file is unsafe!

What the hell? I have the game on CD but it's DOS based and doesn't work in anything later than Windows 95!

Some Security programs like Norton will return a message that the file is a questionable security risk. Just ignore the statement and select Install Anyway or just install it. Ant decent program will check for viruses as it confirms the download and let you download it. I got 16 hours after you and mine works fine and no virus detected.

I just turned my firewall off (I have Comodo antu-virus and firewall) and tried to download part 1 of WC4, it says the file is corrupted.

Fuck this, I want my money back.

Please calm down a second. Whatever your AV is saying, I'm pretty sure it's just a false positive. If GOG were using infected files a lot more people would have complained by now.

Just try to download again? Better use the GOG downloader if you aren't already, it should take care of corrupted files issues.

Second: There is absolutely NO REASON to warrant you using THAT MUCH anti-virus protection. Unless you are a DUMBASS, and go to illicit websites and click on random ass links which any REGULAR internet user would avoid.

My PC was set up by my Brother, who is paranoid about viruses, so he set my PC up like a Fortress, nothing gets in or out.

It's definitely a false positive. GoG refuses to sell even games that use benevolent spyware. It's possible that because WC4 is based on the Win95 version, it makes some changes to the registry.

As for the corrupted download, that sometimes just happens when you download large files using a standard browser downloader. Avogadro6 is right. The GoG downloader is a better option. If your brother has any issues show him the site or ask him to look into their reputation.
