Whenever I try to start Wing Commander Armada on my steam deck, dosbox opens for a second before promptly closing and displaying the message "Raven/Raven2/FireFlight/Renoir Audio Processor Speaker." I've tried the gog launcher, steam launcher, bottles, and several different version of Proton, Proton GE, and Lutris. Both version of Privateer play fine. I'm not very familiar with either Linux or Dosbox so I can't rule out user error.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Finally figured out a method that worked. Here's what I did for any future generations who want to get Armada working.

1. Press the steam controller button -> Power -> Switch to Desktop mode
2. Tap the deck icon in the bottom left, tap favorites, tap Discover
3. Search for "Lutris" and install it
4. Open Firefox on your Steam Deck (or your web browser of choice) and go to GOG's website. Log in, then go to gog.com/en/account and tap on Wing Commander Armada
5. Download the "Offline Backup Game Installers" for Wing Commander Armada to your Steam Deck and close Firefox once it's finished downloading.
6. Tap the Deck icon in the bottom left, tap All Applications, and launch Lutris
7. Click the plus symbol in the upper left of Lutris, then tap "Search the Lutris website for installers"
8. Type in "Wing Commander Armada" and select the result, tap install
9. On the install screen, make sure to check mark "Create steam shortcut" and tap install
10. You'll then be asked to provide the installer for Armada that you downloaded from GOG's website. The default save location for Firefox on steam deck is /home/deck/Downloads
11. Lutris will then take care of configuring everything and installing Armada properly for Steam Deck.
12. Once it's finished installing, close everything, go to your desktop, and tap "Return to Gaming Mode"
13. Armada will now show up in your Steam library under "Non-Steam." You'll need to configure your controller, as the default control setup doesn't work. Make sure you bind a button to the Esc key as Wing Commander will try to configure Joystick 2 which I couldn't get through, but the Esc key will let you exit out of setup and start the game.
Thanks for this - helped me install Wing Commander IV under Lutris - unfortunately I have a couple issues with THAT game:

1.) Performance is overall pretty bad in SVGA mode when near capital ships
2.) The entire game crashes when copying the MUSIC.TRE file somewhere near the end of CD 1 (the Paulson missions)

Wing Commander 3 installs but has issues calibrating the joysticks - there are dead zones in the edges, making flight very difficult.

Anyway if anyone has any tips please send them my way.
