I recently purchased WC I-IV and am making my way through them. I'm currently on WC II. I have had WC III and IV for PlayStation for years and played the shit out of them but I have never played WC I & II. Anyway; I read yesterday that the PlayStation version of WC IV..."Cuts out a significant amount of video and missions (no Circe Series, for instance). Ground missions replaced with new space-based missions with similar objectives. Briefing videos altered slightly to represent this." I was unaware they altered the game when they ported it to PlayStation. I was wondering is this actually true, and if so, is this WC IV on GOG the original unedited version or the PlayStation version? I would appreciate it if anybody who knows would clear it up. Thanks in advance.
The version here on GOG.com is the PC-DVD version.
It does include the Playstation videos as bonus downloads though, I think.

On a related note, wouldn't there be some major issues for GOG to emulate a console game? In other words highly unlikely that they would include a PlayStation version of a game for sale? Making the the sell of the pc version, more logical.
I figured as much. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks guys.
I would like to see the original CD version. I still have my six CDs with the game, but I bought WC4 on GOG again in order to play without changing CDs. Unfortunately, the DVD version have more issues on modern systems than the original - even the Windows version of WC4 runs without problems (DOS version exists as well, like WC3). No adjustments required (at least on 32-bit Vista, 64-bit systems, 7 and 8 not tested).
