Has anyone had any success with getting a proper joystick to work for this game? What flight stick can I buy (hopefully a relatively cheap one) that will work good. I am finding it too difficult to use the mouse and keyboard.

Thrustmaster t-16000 or Logitech 3D pro, the former costs a bit more but it has magnetic sensors which are more durable than the cheap potentiometers of the Logitech.
They both have an application available to program and map the stick for games that only detect some of the buttons or have no sensibility and deadzone sliders in the options.
