There's a noticeable delay when transitioning scenes when moving about the ship. Like getting into the lift etc.

Does anyone know away to improve this/speed things up?

Are you getting choppiness anywhere else? If so, you can tweak the dosbox settings.

Had the same issue- figured out a fix that certainly worked for me. In the dosboxWC3.conf config file, change the

output=ddraw

to

output=opengl

That fixed the approx. 4 second transition delay between cutscenes & transitions completely
