I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but when I start Wing Commander 1, after I click through the introduction, the screen that I assume allows me to chose a new game fades in, and then fades out in less than a second. I'm left in the first menu screen (with the beds, lockers, and dripping water) with no way to do anything. Trying to click on anything results in a "Load a game first" message, which I obviously can't do since the game skipped what I presume was the option screen that would've let me start a new game.
Like I said, I kinda feel like a moron here, but hopefully, someone can explain how to get back to that first option screen - or how to stop the game from skipping it. Thanks!

Yeah, it was stupid. I was using mouse clicks to get past the opening credits, and it was resulting in me inadvertently clicking the "Continue Campaign" selection every time. When I used the keyboard to get past the opening credits, it allowed me to click "Start Vega Campaign" instead.
I wish there was a way to delete this post. lol...
