Okay, I just tried gog version of WC1. Instead of full screen, I get a letterbox style screen that is offset from the center, flush with the left of the screen. Any ideas about how to fix this?

I'm seeing the same thing. I've tried changing the graphics options with no change.

I have the same problem in Windows 8.1 64-bit. But I've found a solution that works (for me at least):

1. In your Wing Commander directory, open the file named dosboxWC.conf.

2. Find the line that says "fullresolution=original".

3. Replace the "original" with your monitor's native resolution. e.g. fullresolution=1920x1080
