Okay my WC3 is seriously messed now. Tab and ~ do not activate afterburner. Ever. If I click both mouse buttons, on the 51th click it'll actually activate the afterburner.

For the escort missions, where you have to escort the transport ships to the jump buoy, one transport usually doesn't go through. I've replied that mission 5 times, and finally flew back to the victory manually. Yes 350,000km manually.

Then I get back and we're having a funeral for flint. Wtf? Okay whatever.

THen the next mission is we're blocking the jump to Earth and we're losing real bad and it seems like its down to this one last battle.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Its like the game is skipping to the end.

Its really bizarre. I feel like I missed more then half the game.

IF there is no fix for this, is there at least a way I can view the movies so I can get an idea of what the story is about?

THanks.
The afterburner/tab thing is a definite known issue, and I'm unsure how to fix it.

You've used auto-pilot to jump between points, right? Sometimes the game bugs out when a fighter flies off and you can't use auto-pilot, so you have to fly to the next point manually.

The story is branching. If you fail a certain number of missions, or several key ones, you get set onto a different branch. The one you arrived at in your game is the losing branch. You'll have to restart the game if you want the best ending.

yeah control scheme is very weird. sometime auto slide (arrow/excalibur) is permanently on, weird stuff.

do you know if there's a way to view the game movies individually? Then I can understand the way its meant to be in best case scenario.

There's a Wing Commander 3 movie viewer at WCNews.

Were you able to get the movie viewer working with the GOG version? It seems to be packaged differently then the original CD's did

Mount DATA.DAT with Daemon Tools or a similar program, and extract the movie .TRE files.
Thanks very much Vagabond. I wish I could play this honestly, but with the control scheme messing up and the escort missions not completing, its time to move onto WC Saga: Darkest Dawn
