Weird issue. i use an VKB Gladiator.
Weird because the game seems to register the Joystick, i can callibrate it normally.
But as soon i am in space i cannot move the ship to any direction. the fire trigger works fine, but steering not

anybody knows whats wrong ?

Not a direct solution but I'd recommend pressing ALT + O in game and seeing if the mouse works any better.

I couldn't get the keyboard to work right either but the mouse was perfectly good.

Technically as the mouse works good, you could potentially rebind the controller from controller to simulating mouse and keyboard where it should workaround your issue (mouse has to be used for movement). Just, that is always a pain to do this with games.
