WC 1+2 installer and Wine (+PlayOnLinux) give me a "Runtime Error (at 68 445): and 2 or three other errors...even though the GOG-Installer are listed in PlayOnLinux.

Any ideas whats wrong here? I am using a fresh Mint Mate.

They are DOS games, so you should try to play them using dosbox, not using Wine.

Or you can use the ./play.it scripts from http://wiki.dotslashplay.it/fr/games/wing-commander http://wiki.dotslashplay.it/fr/games/wing-commander-2 which will make installing them on a Debian-based distro (like Mint) easier.
