How can I change the mouse sensitivity so I can actually shoot things? Currently, I've died on the 3rd mission about 6 times because I spend 3min. trying to shoot the guy but miss until he launches a missile at me.

(I had an old joystick in my attic but can't find it and am too cheap to get a new one)

This game does not have a mouse sensitivity option. You would need to set it externally. Some mouse software supports making different profiles for particular programs.
