So I've pretty much found out that the best way for me to control these types of games is with an Xbox controller. Works wonders on Freespace 2.

However I haven't gotten it to work properly on WC3. I've gone into the Dosbox key config but the analog sticks don't register properly. Work quite well on other games.

Any tipes and help?

To calibrate a 360 controller you have to change the DOSBox key config to think the arrow keys are you're joystick axes. Then do the in game joystick calibration with the arrows. Next reset the joystick axes to the joystick and the arrows back to the arrow keys. You'll still have some odd deadzones on the controller, but if you don't move the stick all the way in one direction it'll control fine.

I understand this may seem a bit confusing, but it worked for me. Let me know if you still have trouble.
