I have tried everything I can think of to fix this. I have followed the tweak video and configured my joystick as thrustmaster and also tried the other control settings for joysticks.

I tried mapping another key to enter, which is the fire missle key but no matter what I do when I press my main trigger to fire the guns as soon as I lock the target a missle fires as well.

Anyone have a solution please. This is driving me nuts.

Have you tested the joystick in a different game to see if it works correctly there?

Other things I can think of is maybe close any joystick configuration programs that came with the joystick, maybe those interfere and also use the default dosbox keymapper if you made any yourself.
Or look into the .conf file of WC3 and check out the joystick section to see if it can change anything.

I had some issues in certain games where too much or unlimited dosbox cycles screwed up keypresses and other input, so if nothing hepls try lowering the cpu cycles.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I have already tried most of that. I dont want to mess with the CPU cycles too much as I just got them set so the audio is not glitching. Also the frame rate should be 24 fps according to the guide which it is so I think the CPU cycles are fine.

I think I will try not using the dos box key mapper and set up joy to key and give that a try.
