I was able to get WC3 running enough to get through the opening cinematics. When they finish and you're at Flight Control (the first conversation with Hobbes, if memory serves), the DosBox overlay turns into what can best be described as a snapshot of my computer's desktop instead of running the game.

I've heard that there are issues running WC3 in DosBox on Win10 and I downloaded patches to head them off before I launched the game, but I haven't heard of anything like this. Its unfortunate, WC3 is one of my all-time fave games and I was looking forward to playing on PC, something I never did before (I grew up with the PS1 version and wore out 3 copies).

My computer is an HP running Win10 with a Core i5 processor. Anyone have any possible fixes?

That's incredibly weird, does it run dosbox as admin?
No, and aside from running WC3 as an admin, I'm not sure how to do that. I'll give that a try though. Thanks!

No go. Same thing happened.

Could be a dosbox video output related issue, maybe try a different video output and/or resolution.
Alternatively you could try my .conf, just download and paste it into the WC3 installation folder.
