Edit: sorry. The problem seems to have resolved itself. As I can't seem to delete this post, I have developed another problem: I'm using my keyboard and mouse, and in order to stop firing, I need to re-click the mouse. So click once to start firing and click again to stop. Not a game breaker I don't think, but weird. Is there a solution to this?

Hey all! My first post on gog.com forums.

So I've downloaded wing commander 1+2. WC1 works really well! It slows down during close enemy encounters and leaves a big black bar along the bottom of my screen, but I can forgive the bar and the slowdown actually helps me be a more ace pilot (increases my reflexes to cat level, lol).

But in WC2, the cinematics are a little choppy and SPEED through all dialogue and cutscenes with no audio. Blink and you're in the mission type-thing. What's going on? How do I slow this down, or make each scene triggerable only by clicking? This is not a problem in WC1. Conversations happen just fine.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, if that helps.

Thanks all!

For the wc1 firing too much on click problem.

I use dfend reloaded and under mouse setting I make sure 'force 2-button mouse mode' is ticked and reduce mouse sensitivity to 80. Works for wc1 but not for wc2 for some reason. I also auto-lock mouse but thats just a preference.
