I have an old CH joystick set that I converted from DB15 to USB using a BU0836 interface. It works fine in games like MS FS10 but I'm having a difficult time getting it to work in WC1. I tried FCS, CH, 2axis, and auto in the config file but when I'm in the initial flight sim it doesn't work. What else can I try?

Try using timed=false.
It's already set to false. Could it be DOSBOX just doesn't get the interface chip?

I think so, it's a rather unusual setup.
If you have another controller you can test it and see if that works.
OK, I kind of got it to work by pulling the USB CH rudder and just have the interface chip plugged in. But I'm having problem mapping the missile key to one of the button. I tried deleting the map file to reset but the default 1+2 buttons are no go. Anyone else have this issue?
i am using a saitech x52 and couldn't get missiles to launch... the keyboard shortcut for missiles/mines is the enter key.. so i mapped that and it fixed my issue .. you might try mapping your missile button to enter.

not sure it matters but i used the number pad enter key.
