How do I load this in windows 8? I don't see an option for it in the privateer folder, and well, no start menu with windows 8.

Where did you find it? I have windows 8 as well. I can start privateer itself just fine, but cannot figure out how to get righteous fire to start/.

There is a Righteous Fire shortcut in the Start Menu folder. If you can't see it on the Start screen (or you have Windows 8.1 installed) you can get to it by searching for the keyword and then pin it to the Start screen for future convenience.
