Out of interest, does anyone remember the expansion for privateer? When you start the game off, you are contacted by the station authority, and told that 'something' was stolen off of your ship.

I think I may have an old copy of privateer on CD-ROM, with the expansion, but I've never been able to use it, had problems installing/running the game back on an old 386.

What chances are there of this ever hitting GOG.com?

The expansion, Righteous Fire, is in fact already included in the GOG release of Privateer.

(Unless you are referring to some other expansion I am not aware of...)

Also note that the Righteous Fire expansion is launched separately from the main game so you have to exit to switch between the two campaigns.

You can import Privateer saves into Righteous Fire (or start Righteous Fire with a totally new character), but not the other way around.
