I'm having a weird problem with the Ralph McCloud mission. I completed it. I got the cut scene where Ralph says he'd be pleased and mighty proud to give me some Kraven MkIV guns...

but the mission doesn't seem to end properly. When I go to the ship parts store, there is no sign of my new guns. If I leave Hermes, I do discover that the guns have been automatically installed and Kravens are available on the market at the next planet. So that bit's OK.

But my diary entry still says "Sounds like a good idea. Meet Ralph at the Sinner's Inn." so what I'm worried about is that the next side mission won't trigger because the game thinks I'm still doing the Ralph mission.

Running the GOG version of the game in Win7. Tried doing this section both with and without the cool unofficial patch, still have the same thing happen (so the bug is probably not caused by the patch anyway).

Any ideas if this will be a problem, and if there is anything I can do about it?

The way you got the gun is normal, it doesn't show up until you leave the planet.

The leftover diary entry is not a problem. There's basically one page in the diary dedicated to tracking the cinematic side missions, and I've found the last diary entry for a few of those missions hangs around after they're done. Subsequent missions will still trigger and it will overwrite that diary page appropriately.

I just encountered that same problem. Thanks for clearing that up :D
