Hi everyone.

I'm right now enjoying Pirvateer 2 again after so many years (Prochnow and Walken, wuhuu).
But there is one thing bothering me:

Many side missions only appear when the matching CD is in the drive. That was no problem in the old days with physical CDs. But how do I do it with the gog/dosbox version? I guess there is a way to do it with dosbox options, but so far, I couldn't fin a solution.

(For example, Luisa Phillips and the Monk on Bex missions appear only when CD2 is loaded, but my current CD is 4 because of my progress in the main plot).

THanks for any help.

:EDIT:
The unofficial patch changed nothing here.

:edit: tried the workaround by loading savegames before videos that load cd 1 or 2. didn'T help getting the missions either

Thanks for asking this question. I tried to explain this to the patch makers, but I don't think they understood what I was asking.

Wouldn't they appear once you're on part of the story that requires that CD to be 'loaded'?

On the mission to save Rhineheart I got the email from Louisa Phillips.
Bojamins as I understand it there are some missions that appear only after you beat the main story, but only if you go around switching cds to find them.

In addition to that, some of the side missions are random (but only appear on certain cds) or at least you need to be near or close to certain planets to receive the messages alerting you to them.

The game wasn't really all that properly designed, and it is possible to miss things.

It would be rather useful for the patch developers to add a cd switching mod to the game somehow. Maybe use an unused key combination?

Especially to allow players to go back and do any missions they might have passed up by progressing through the main plot, without looking for the side missions.
