With out it, people are always confused when trying to change sound settings! It is a huge problem as this is probably the most common thread here that keeps popping up every week. On top of that, without the installer we are limited to the mcga version of the game, as oppose to the EGA and tandy versions as it was needed to convert the files in between them. It's not often, but some people do have ancient boxes lying around that they like to transfer the old games too and it can be a further limiting factor. And then it is just nice to be able to play with these features of the game. I personally like the EGA version of WC1 as space is actually black!
