I get music in Wing Commander 3 during cutscenes, but ingame during missions, I cannot hear anything. There is supposed to be music, and I don't know where to adjust it or something. Does anyone know?

In order to setup the sound settings right, open the "dosboxWC3.conf" file and scroll down
where the "autoexec" settings are located.
Add a "-i" to the WC3.exe (just -i with no "") and run the game, the setup will run first.
Set up everything right, save the settings and quit.
Remove the -i and enjoy your WC3 with sound :D
