When I first started this up, the mouse was incredibly sluggish in navigating the bar etc. In the training machine in the bar, it was OK, but I had to move the mouse across the mousepad 8+ times in order to get to the training machine from the place where the mouse started.
After quite a bit of searching, I have tried a several posted solutions, including: Using the GoG Graphic Mode Setup mouse sensitivity and editing both mouse scroll and CPU cycles in the dosboxWC.conf file. Everything I've tried so far either makes the training thing unplayable (because moving the mouse a hair sends me into a spiral) or has no effect on the problematically sluggish parts.
WC2 doesn't seem to have this issue, though I haven't played around with it much.
Does anyone have any advice?
