Hallelujah, my awesome new joystick came in the mail and I've been having a great time with WIng Commander! I've been using the button mapping software that came with my joystick to assign keyboard commands to buttons so I'm almost all set up, but I can't figure out how to assign the throttle slider to the engine power. Is this possible? I tried configuring the game to Thrustmaster and FS Pro but neither seems to solve the problem.

FYI my joystick is the Thrustmaster T.16000. Heavy base, nice resistance, 16 buttons, yaw control, throttle slider, and a view control hat. I spent my whole weekend playing Wing Commander and Flight Simulator just like when I was 10 years old. :)
IIRC, throttle support was specifically mentioned as a new feature on the Kilrathi Saga box, which would imply it's not available in the DOS/GOG version.

There might be a workaround, but I don't believe DOS WC3 has native support.
With my logitech I simply bind +/- to the throttle up/down. It works .... okayish, but it doesn't function as an actual throttle.

That would work if I were using joystick buttons equivalent to + and - on the keyboard, but it won't work for a proper throttle slider. Thank you anyway though.

And thanks to you as well, BlackMageJ. It's unfortunate but not the end of the world. If only we could have had the Kilrathi Saga on GOG! It has a few other usability tweaks (like hiding the cockpit in WC1/2) that would have been nice.

Well - as said - I bound them to the throttle, so throttle up is increase and vice versa. I think it's the best we can do with the current version.
