Is it possible to remap the control scheme on wc4 like you could for wc3...I understand that wc4 is not using dosbox but the controls are really weird and I would like to use as much of my joystick controls as I can my joystick is an attack 3 logitech.

I don't have WC4 installed, so i'm not sure if you can do a complete rebind in-game... if i remember well, the options were pretty limited.
You can however try JoyToKey, which gives you full mapping capabilities
(the free, unregistered version works just fine... for WC3 i preferred that myself over the DOSBOX mapper)

I don't think any of the WC games allowed you to remap buttons on the joystick in game. ANyway, Logitech has their own game controller remapping software (Logitech Profiler) that you should be able to download from their website ( http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/441/302?section=downloads&bit=&osid=-1&other_downloads=0 ). THat should allow you to map whatever you want to your stick or gamepad.

I've tried xpadder...which actually seemed to convert input from joystick to keyboard commands but didn't work on the game...I've tried joytokey but couldn't really get it to work right...and I've tried the profiler but everytime I press "play WC4" it wants to reinstall the game entirely and it still doesn't work in game. I'm sure I'm missing something stupid easy I've tried setting keyboard and joystick as default (in game) and have not had any luck so far.

Tried a few things but for me, It's pretty much unplayable with the XBOX 360 controller.
