I'm having trouble installing Wing commander IV, Every time I try to install part 1 of the files for the game, I keep getting a message along the lines of:"setup files are corrupted, please download a different version of the download"
I followed the support page for the game saying that I need to turn on GOG download mode but the it won't download the combine files.

Hiya Fella, I had exactly the same problem. Pain in the arse or what? What you must do is use the gog downloader. Just click on Wing Commander and the downloader should message you that that program has been added to its list. It then starts to automatically download all relevant game files. This will take a while so get the coffee and biscuits in. You should also set the dowloader to install as soon as the program download is complete. This makes life moderately easier.

I used the gog downloader, and when it finished downloading nothing happened. I had it set to auto run when finished. I now have 5 bin files, and no idea how to proceed.

there are 5 bin files so that's correct, though you should also have the setup exe called "setup_wing_commander4_2.0.0.17"

if you don't have that that's what you're missing
