Hello all,

Iwhile goofing arownd trying to get some old games to work I have found a simple way to getthe PILOT TRASFER programs to WORK:

DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL: D-FEND RELOADED

OPEN IT

CLICK ADD

SELECT MANUAL AND DOSBOX PROFILE THIS WILL OPEN A NEW SCREEN CALLED "PROFILE EDITOR"

UNDER THE SECTION CALLED "PROGRAM" FIND THE LINE "PROGRAM FILE" TO THE RIGHT OF THE BOX IS THE ICON TO "BROWSE"(soory wrong Spelling) THIS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE D-FEND "VIRTUAL DRIVE" USE THIS TO NAVIGATE TO YOUR WC1 FOLDER AND SELECT THE TRANSFER.EXE FILE

PRESS OPEN AND THIS WILL CLOSE THE SCREEN\BOX

GIVE THE PROFILE A NAME (this is the top line of the profile above the program section)

PRESS OK THIS WILL CLOSE THE PROFILE EDITOR

ON THE SCREEN UNDER THE DOSBOX PROFILE YOUR NEW TRANSFER PROGRAM PROFILE SHOULD APPER

CLICK ON IT TWICE (as normal to run a program) IF YOU HAVE DONE EVERY THING CORRECT THE PROGRAM SHOULD RUN AND YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO THE BUNKROOM ON THE TIGER'S CLAW.

RIGHT CLICK THE PROFILE AND MAKE A SHORTCUT TO WHAT EVER LOCATION YOU WANT

REPEAT FOR THE SECOND TRANSFER PROGRAM

And that is that, if you have any problems just try fidiling with it abit as it took me some time to figer out the "add dosbox prifile" part.

Nice thanks im gonne use it when needed, sorry for the off topic question but do you know how a gamepad workd with wc 1? I can fly and i can shoot thats it.

Sorry but I don't think a gamepad will work for anything else with WC, remember at the time this game was created gamepads did'nt exict for PC's so your choise was\is keyboard, mouse\keyboard and\or joystick\keyboard.

What ever you choose the keyboard is a necessety as most of the inportant controls are bound to various keys on it, and as far as I know this can't be changed.

By the way I made a full play through of the OC and ysed the fist transfer program using my system and IT WORKS!!!

There is a much easier way. Download the latest version of DosBox and install. Then go to the folder that has the transfer program in it and drag the transfer program onto the shortcut for dosbox.

One of the bonuses for the Kilrathi Saga version, iirc, was that it included gamepad support. It's been a while though, so I'm not sure.
