I have the logitech 3d pro joystick, but everytime I launch the game it defaults to keybord with no option to switch.
I'm able to access the options screen but the config option for joysticks does nothing.
HELP!!!

I'm playing Wing Commander 4.

Windows, right?

Wing Commander 4 should recognize the stick instantly, have you presses ALT+O during flight?

If you did and Joystick wasn't selectable go to the windows control panel and make sure that your joystick has top priority among game peripherals.

Alright, the game now recognizes the joystick, but the calibration option does nothing.
Is there anyway to assign keyboard functions to the various joystick buttons?
Is there a way to adjust sensitivity and dead zones?

At the time Joystick support was very basic in a lot of games, your logitech should be compatible with the Logitech Gaming Software that should let you set up a profile with deadzones and keybindings for the game.

Thanks for the help, I'll give it a shot.
Is the calibration option suppossed to do anything though?

I think it's either for basic troubleshooting (in case the windows calibration wasn't loaded properly) or a residual from the dos version.
When I played it last year I just loaded my joystick profile and never bothered with it.
