Ok, GOG, why not add it?

Here is the patch, for anyone who wants to try to experiment.

The speed fix should be included in the above (but here it is seperately);

Additional fixes/patches (for sound/music issues);

This may be needed as well since the above win patch will break the "NoCD" hack.

Thanks for these, had already installed windows patch courtesy of Filben, the additional patch has also restored space sound. I didn't need the speed fix, it is included in the windows patch.
Hopefully can get these built into the main file, its nice to plug and play.
Tested and works, now playing just like I used to when I was 12.. only now I'm much better at flying.
I'd like to see someone modify the files so that it can be atomically incorporated into the gog installer with both windows and dosbox (just in case) versions. A good installer should keep it all to one GoG related folder and subfolders and get rid of the two separate folders.
I've added an additional link to the nocd method developed by members of Wing Commander CIC. You will need it to fix the windows installation and reactive nocd options.

It's a simple matter of modifying the dark.cfg to redirect back to the gog folder.
In my case the dark.cfg does not change and still points to the gog folder as my cd-drive.
I downloaded the movies.iff file that is linked in the no-cd hack page
and put it into the gog folder with the privateer install. this removes the disc change prompt and the game can be continued :)
Apparently there is another problem that will arise though... IN that you won't be able to access the disk specific side missions, that are on disk 2 and 3.
