So, I can't log onto the official server, due to it using a newer version of the game. My friend who got the copy on Steam has already got version v2017-06-17.0 and is able to log onto the server, while my GOG version stays at 2016-07-07.

Is the update coming to GOG?

The developer was always a little slower when it comes to the porting. It may take some days till they update it here.

Actually, nothing to do with the Developer, up to Gog.It can take a few days.
