Pityesz: When the NPCs are using elemental weapons normal defense become useless because of the armor ignoring effect of the essences. It is not necessary to have high resistance, only tank builds depend on that alone.
Wait, so does defense work when they aren't using elemental weapons? I thought you said defense never works to begin with (or, rather, is inconsequential).
But to clarify my original question above, should i be trying to get top elemental resistance for every element, then make sets out of those, start a session, then after i kill about 10 pirates, equip whatever set i got about 6 of the matching element?
