For some reason the game won't let me change the color of the hull. I dock at a town, right-click the "Hull Paint" icon and click Equip. But all it does is play an error tone, and the hull never changes color. Is there a way to fix this?

Update:
I finally figured it out! it looks like one has to click the Inventory button at the top-left and make sure Customization is empty.
