After 10 hours I have to say I am enjoying this game more than I ever thought possible. I really am glad this is NOT a Fallout game and feels exactly like a sequel to Wasteland One(finally played WL1 last year and I was surprised how much fun I had.) But boy some of these fights are just as brutal as the first Wasteland. Glad I skipped the beta completely and came into this game fresh. When a single old man nearly destroy your whole team you know its a Wasteland game.(Ranger difficulty). Grand times ahead

Ranger difficulty is awesome. I suspect devs intended the game to be played on it. Enemies are smarter. Pack more punch. Use cover better. There is no full healing on level up so your field medic is the most valuable member of the team. And the frustration when my surgeon goes rogue and gets herself shot up by the enemy...I definitely need to give someone else the surgeon skill as well.
Ranger difficulty for me on my second playthrough. I'd love that kind of unforgiving gameplay, but not on my first playthrough. Looking forward to it!
Ranger difficulty, iron man mode. Outdoorsman doesn't seem so weak when you can not save scum and break this CRPG like most people do all the time.

(there is no iron man setting in the game, you just have to refrain from savescumming your way through the game with those 10-30% odds and min-maxed weapons)

I am finding Outdoorsman quite the useful ability. I consider reloading as a game over. That said I have at least 4 game overs
