First time to the Wasteland? Fear not, we put together a little intro to help you get going. Possibly of greatest importance there is the included link to the Community Discord channel which is home to a bunch of helpful Rangers that would like nothing better to see you successfully on your way: https://discord.gg/rH6QxAv

Hello, first of all thank you for this Remastered version. I'm very interested by it but I'm wondering if a Mac version is planned?
(Note that these comments are based on the classic DOS version of the game; I am not expecting the remaster to be different except for bug fixes (one of which I expect to actually matter), but there might still be other differences.)

Some comments on the advice on that page:

* The *only* way to get more skill points is to boost your IQ at level up. On the other hand, skills can be improved by use (up to your level), which is the only practical way to get high skill levels. (With that said, you can afford to "waste" a few skill points by raising a skill to level 2 at the start (I recommend Brawling, since it gets you an extra melee attack regardless of melee weapon) or by taking a skill that's useless in the long run.)

* Clip Pistol actually isn't that important; single shot firearms (at least those whose skills are available at the start) just aren't worth it. (There's one exception, but getting it requires a glitch that is probably not present in the remaster, and would probably behave differently if it *were* present.) Automatic weapons are best used full auto (yes, there's plenty of ammo to spare), which gives you such a huge bonus to skill that your skill level is irrelevant. (With that said, if you put a point into Assault Rifles, the skill will increase nicely since you're likely using that skill against enemies with high enough defense that your skill can increase high.)

* The list of skills listed available does not include those not available at the start. Note that such skills generally (always?) require more IQ than it is possible to start with. Also, note that different libraries offer different skills; there's even one in a dungeon that offers a unique skill not available anywhere else.

* The site mentions being able to save to different save files, and to being able to camp by pressing C. It's worth noting that these options were *not* available in the original version (though at least in the DOS version you could work around the lack of a Camp option by using a macro). Also, the Journal is new.

Also, that site seems to be a resource hog, and is making my computer run hot, which is unacceptable for a page that's text and a few images (some animated).
