Noticed this after the most recent patch, but it also happened in the patch just prior to that (which I started the current run on).

It appears that the Sonic Emitter (which you get from the DJ in the Warrens), doesn't actually allow its 6AP "weapon" to be used. It definitely didn't come up as a skill, and wasn't usable as an item...

So in effect, this is now just a waste of a utility slot...

Maybe your character lose the requisites to use it ? (Weird Science)
I have not played the game since December so, I can't confirm if this is a new bug or not :(

Nope he definitely had enough weird science skill to use it. He has no issues using the weird science helmet I found later, so at least other items still provide bonus skills as usual.

I suspect it's because of one of the latest patches.

I loaded a previous save game with one of my characters wearing the item. And I don't see anymore the icon of the ability under that character "abilities" menu. Probably we should report this a bug because the emitter was useful

Yes, especially since they've removed most of the exploits the game had, so it's more challenging now - and the ability to knock people out was useful. True it's still possible to do that with other abilities, but my team didn't have any while going through the Warrens - still managed to get through there even on SJ, but it took some doing...

Where do we report bugs for this? I'm guessing they don't check these forums, and would only check on Steam? Or they have their own discord? I probably should have looked this up, but I like it when Indie(ish) devs surprise me by visiting obscure forums... ;)

At least you've confirmed that it happens, so it wasn't just something freaky on my end...

InXile has their own forum where you can report bugs, here is the direct link to the Wasteland 3 PC Bug report forum:

Thanks!

Good to know there are some companies that have their own forum instead of using Steam...

They were checking those forums on the first months. BUT, their official forums are well maintained.

Yep, I went and reported it to their forums. Plus I verified a bunch of other minor possibly-bugs that I had forgotten about that others had reported.
