I recently had to reinstall GOG Galaxy. I imported my games folders, and all my GOG games that were previously installed validated and were added except for Wasteland 3, which was constantly stuck on "scanning installed files" at 0%. The game worked fine, but couldn't be launched from Galaxy. So I decided to just reinstall it from Galaxy, made sense as I had just bought the DLC and hadn't installed them yet anyway.
After downloading 20GB, the installation process reached 100% and then Galaxy said it failed. I tried just launching the executable manually, and it worked just fine. After a couple restarts and retries, I gave up and downloaded the offlilne installers. After another 20GB downloaded, everything was installed and I could launch the game in Windows but the game wouldn't show up as installed in Galaxy. So I again had Galaxy try to import the game, and now I'm stuck with Galaxy trying to delete my install but being stuck at 0%.
I haven't used Galaxy in over a year due to bugs and slowness, but I went back to it hoping the experience had gotten better. Has anybody else had a situation like this, and if so any advice on how to fix it? In the meantime, I'll just go back to playing my GOG games sans Galaxy (the ones that don't have achievements) or just go back to Steam. I had such high hopes for Galaxy.
