sear: Hi guys, on a totally unrelated note to the regular patch 2 discussion:

We released two hotfixes for the game recently on Steam. The first hotfix resolves a performance degradation issue using the Very Large font size that would cause framerate drops. The second hotfix resolves a bug in French and Russian translations which prevented players from transferring items between characters (this did not happen in other languages).

Both hotfixes have been sent to GOG.com's team, but for the time being if you are playing in French or Russian, please be aware of these issues (and we highly recommend you play in English or another unaffected language if you don't want to wait).

Please do not take this as "official" GOG.com advice, but in my experience using the site, this URL may resolve issues with updates, files, etc. not appearing in your library: https://secure.gog.com/en/account/refresh/

HypersomniacLive: Thanks for the heads up on the hotfixes.

Also thanks for the tip, but our issue is not that the updated content doesn't show up in our accounts, it's about not being notified that it was added to our accounts. I never got a single update flag for Wasteland 2, perhaps it's an issue plaguing only backers. GOG should be able to tell us.
Classic edition buyer here, no flags were set for any of the updates for this game. I believe this is done manually (Judas has said it once in a thread for another game) and I have only seen it done occasionally for any game since the site redesign.
I'm on a Surface Pro 3; game ran fine unpatched, upon updating to 2.1 I get a crash to desktop; 2.2 hotfix doesn't help either.
I wasn't notified about anything, but I found patches in my account page yesterday. Bigger first, and then, few hours later, smaller one.

But I find it ironical (as it reminds me of X-Rebirth, which followed same pattern), seeing how patched game behaves strangely and with more glitches than initial release (I know it's not bugreport topic, my apologies for clogging it, but I think it's worthy to note few):
- In loading menu all saved games lines lost their date/time. Not sure if largest font issue, but I couldn't restore them by changing font back, to smaller one. Maybe restarting game could help, but giving its odd lags nature (I can't figure out why game lags and stutters periodically), I chose to avoid it for now.
- After initial launch of game, upon exiting first random encounter on global map, party is being teleported back to starting location. Very funny if you try to move towards it (saves time), much less so, if you nearly reached opposing edge of the map. Stable, reproducable, introduced by bigger patch (as I tried it upon release here, prior hotfix appearance).
- Significant delay when contacting HQ or being contacted by them, I think delay is about couple of seconds long, instead of nearly instant, as it used to be.

Not sure if glitch/bug and not intentional, but have impression that many sounds now became quieter. No, I haven't adjusted settings ingame, in OS, or on my headphones.

One particular speaker, who used TV screen to address the public, now has no VO during his speech (it was there prior patching). To be honest, I'm glad: hearing that loop over and over again was rather irritating.

Pet peeve - still no "halt" key implemented.:)

Paczyk: It takes a little while for the notification to show up on all the users' shelves. You should get it in a few minutes. Please let me know if you didn't.

drealmer7: No notification for me here. I didn't get a notification last time either. I have a torment kickstarter backer oddball edition as well, so that probably has something to do with it.
Yeah, same with me. I get no notifications for Wasteland 2. I also have the Kickstarter backer edition.
So, does anybody know what this hotfix is for?
"Hotfix: We have released a new hotfix which fixed a performance degradation issue with the Very Large font size.

Hotfix 2: We have released a second hotfix which fixes an issue with being unable to move items between characters while using French and Russian languages."

That second bug is really weird
Possibly because french and russian are really weird. ]:-)>
Never got a notification for the patch either.
slightly frustrating that there's no standalone patch 2 for the GOG linux version.
instead the linux installer was updated to v1.3.0, and the whole 10.4GB file has to be redownloaded.

gog staff: is there something about how Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Mint 17 LTS handle file structures that makes it really hard to create patches for gog linux titles?

There is a specific thread about that, where I tried to explain what the problem is in my view : http://www.gog.com/forum/wasteland_series/patches_on_linux_why_do_i_need_to_redownload_the_entire_game

In short : there are solutions to allow much smaller patches (using xdelta or similar binary diff tool), but that requires GOG to make a patching tool/script, and ensure it works well in all cases without too much fiddling from the end-user nor too many tech support requests. I'm hoping GOG will finally get to it, but we have to be patient.
thanks for the thread link.
thinking about it, the two linux distros that gog supports do have a ton of different variants, if you look at the different GUI backends/what different linux packages are included in those GUI backends.

i can think of cinnamon, KDE, GNOME, LXDE GUIs off hand, besides the basic Xserver backend.
