So whenever I launch the game everything seems to work fine until the game closes and steam launches. I've tried completely exiting steam and running as administrator, but it doesn't work and still launches steam. Why would it close and launch steam if I'm using GOG galaxy? Any help would be appreciated.

Figured it out. Just kept reinstalling until it worked.
