So I bought WL 3 on sale here on GOG to support GOG etc etc. I already own it on xbox, but for $14.49, I figured why not?

Needless to say, after trying to install it for the past couple of hours, I'm having to refund my $14.49. I tried everything short of offline installers, since the reason I bought it on GOG was for easier access to tracking gameplay and achievements.

I even reinstalled galaxy. It just hangs after you click install, with a spinning circle. I think at one point I let it sit for 20 minutes, just spinning right round baby round round.

I give up. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about gog at this point, but I'm sure someone will chime in here saying how the game installs perfectly for them and I'm overreacting.

I guess I'll just reinstall it through the xbox app. At least it works there.

As far as I'm aware if you use the offline installers Galaxy will 'pick' up the game and recognise it so you can have your gameplay tracking and achievements. Might be worth a try before going the refund route.

I've bought it on sale, but not installed, as I am trying finishing the second in the series first.

It's an amazing game. I don't know what was going on with GOG's servers when I tried to buy it from GOG, but it just *would not install*.
