Am I the only one that kinda hopes InXile take the piss and add a free dlc that gives every player controlled char a pair of red boots?

Definitely not. That would be awesome. Especially if you have to pay $100 in game for it.

I think it would be even more sweet if they stick to their guns and do not even do it for a joke. Wasteland 2 is a classic game, DLC is a cancer that cheapens the "feel" of modern games no matter if it is free or almost as expensive as the base game. Tacked on crap to make people think they are getting more value from their games.

Forgot to mention that it is a good joke, but it is a bit too obvious. The message was something like "You think we're going to tack on DLC?" and it would be even more unique and powerful if they did not compromise even for a joke.

I can't agree with that. There's good DLC like found in FO:NV and FO3 and there's bad DLC like horse armor.

What's more, people have the choice about whether or not they want to buy the DLC. If this were a multiplayer game where the DLC had an influence on the multiplayer aspect, I'd be more critical of it.

It would be cool if they developed a proper Expansion for the game "Wasteland 2 Red Boots" or ........... , but no nothing thats has the smell of DLC.

Hear, hear! Let the game stand on it's own merits. No need for extra junk just to clutter the experience.

There won't be an in-game DLC frow Wasteland 2, but I suspect there will be an expansion. It would be great to give the engine to Obsidian and get them to make their spin-off!

If Bethesda won't make Fallout 4 this decade, well we have the Wasteland series now.

I just read an article that said that Wasteland 2 has already sold over a million copies. So yeah, there's gonna be DLC. DLC, expansions, sequels, movie tie-in, t-shirts, and a Saturday morning cartoon show. And cereal. And action figures. And video games... wait, what? Yes. Wasteland 2's success will be so great that Hollywood will demand a video game based on the... the video game.

And many monies and dERPs will be had.

The game is great by itself! Just like fallout, it needs no extra content.

I wouldn't mind a hefty expansion pack, like in the old days. They should look at what Harebrained did with Dragonfall and do something similar. Maybe even make it standalone.
