I know I've had no luck on my card / driver setup. I believe I've seen other people struggle a bit also. I wonder, would those who have it runing successfully under linux be willing to post what video card they're using, and what driver?

GOG's support request script will create an html file with the data. <Wasteland\ 2/support/gog-system-support.sh>

For instance, mine shows: Graphics, VIDIA Corporation G94 [GeForce 9600 GT] (rev a1)
Driver Module: nvidia 10675249 29 drm 303102 2 nvidia

If you know which driver package (nvidia-304, nvidia-331, nouveau, etc) that might also be helpful. I'm asking for:
a: ideas on why mine might have failed beyond the fact that it's a generation too old by the specs, as some seem to have things working with older cards
b: better understanding of which cards are working better on linux games for if/when I purchase anew.

Thank you!

AMD HD6870 with 14.6 Beta drivers

WL2 with full quality gets laggy now and then, for example at the Ranger Citadel interior. I suspect it's just because of AMD's poor Linux drivers. I've had to lower the quality but I'm not that much a graphics freak so I don't mind :)
My brother plays on an Radeon HD7770 2gb ASUS version on opensource drivers. He plays at max graphics, but can get laggy in certain areas. The one and only problem is that it freezes randomly and requires a system reboot.
I play on Radeon HD6850 using the free (Mesa) drivers and it works well in high quality/fullscreen. Just had to disable camera blur. I heard that bug it's fixed on inXile side, so just waiting for the GoG patch on the Linux version.
Radeon HD7750 1GB Catalyst 14.20 here. Haven't noticed lag on medium graphics.

Same here. It's frequent enough to make the game effectively unplayable for me. Doesn't seem to be GPU overheating.
Model: NVIDIA Corporation GK104 [GeForce GTX 760] (rev a1)

Driver Module: nvidia 10675249 40 drm 302817 2 nvidia

Runs pretty well. No slowdown or choppyness so far (got to Titan Canyon.) There's an occasional bug where the shadows and light-sources start moving around the scene for no reason, but I don't know if that's related to my videocard. Hopefully that'll be fixed when the patch comes out on Monday (along with another bug I've encountered where the party suddenly loses their clothes during a fight in Titan Canyon.)
Thank you all!

Looks like my rig really is just too rickety. I'll start speccing replacements. Doesn't look like there's a lot of issue with either amd or nvidia, so not a concern there.

Happy gaming!

Seems that playing in windowed mode solved this. he has been playing for a few hours now and no freezes. hope this helps!
Running Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 64bit

Driver version: 343.22 (Manually Installed .run file from Nvidia website)
GPU: GeForce GTX 760

Currently playing in full settings except bloom (I hate bloom) and vertical sync off. Game runs fine, no slowdowns or choppyness.

I don't have any freezes anymore after I updated the game, the catlalyst driver to latest beta and many distro packages.
