I need help, i have in my Shelf a Wasteland 2 of size 9.2GB for download. Then in my shelf i have Wasteland 2 Directors Cut of size 6.9GB. GOGs way of know how to install is non existent, there are no instructions and why have 2 on my shelf and not just combine it because i have directors cut version.

So now, should i install both??? Is the game really 16GB in size??? Should i install just the Wasteland 2 and then the Wasteland 2 Directors Cut on top of this???

What about the patches i have in both Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 2 Directors Cut.

Wasteland 2 Patches are: Patch 6, Patch 5.1, Patch 5, Patch 4

Wasteland 2 Directors Cut Patches are: Hotfix 1, Patch 1, Hotfix 2

This is really confusing and frustrating, there is just no help from GOG on how to install games in a MESS like this.

Should i install Wasteland 2, then install Patch 4, Patch 5, Patch 5.1, Patch 6 and then install Wasteland 2 Directors Cut, then Hotfix 1, Patch 1 and Hotfix 2???

I have no idea what to install and what patches to install.

Does anyone know the correct sequence. I would really appreciate the help.

Games like this in such a mess with the downloading and split on shelfs should really come with instructions on how to install it. It is really a mess and GOG should now wake up and include instructions on how to do it.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is for the Windows version.

Thank you.

My advice: Install Wasteland 2 directors cut only. Don't worry about patches (unless a new patch comes out after you install).

Explanations: InXile made a slightly expanded and improved version of W2 and named it 'director's cut'. If you have it, then you should probably play that and ignore the non-DC version.

The installers at GOG are generally updated to the patched version, pretty soon after a patch comes out. So if you take the current installer, it will (99% of the time) be the most current version.

The Patches at GOG generally refuse to apply, if the version of the game you apply them to does not need them. They put out an error message telling you that you have the wrong version for the patch.
They are 2 different games entirely, essentially. Treat them as such. Read about their differences and decide which you want to play, or if you want to play both along-side one-another (this is fun for me.)

Whichever you do. Just download the installer. Install it. Check and see if the patch is an update for your installer or an old installer (you can just DL it and try to apply it as alcaray said, if it is applicable, it will apply, if not, it will either say already applied or give an error.)
