Hey, everyone. I installed wasteland 2 today, and booted it up. It started, and I chose to make new characters. The character model was covered in black squares, jagged, uneven squares, like a swarm of bugs. I thought, well I can deal with some imperfections, a patch will be out, but once I loaded the game up, the black boxes were everywhere, obstructing my view of the game, I've tried putting the specs up, down and everywhere in between, no dice. The game runs fine otherwise. I would really like to play this game, and any help would be great.
That sounds like a graphics card or graphics driver problem. Waiting for a patch will probably not fix it nor will bumping up the graphics. Instead try turning the graphics down or disabling different options in the graphics settings. Also the usual of making sure your card is good enough for the game and updating your drivers if you have not done so.
If your system meet the minimum requirements, I suggest updating your graphics card driver first, rebooting and trying the game again. It really sounds like a driver issue, assuming the hardware is good enough.
Thanks for the replies. I'm sure my card is at least a 512, I'll get those drivers updated. Thanks again.
