Yes I well know 7 is now officially unsupported, so I understand why they will now list newly released games as requiring W8 or W10. But a lot of of us will be sticking with W7 for the foreseeable future. So we'll be asking often if a new game runs ok on our legacy OS. I appreciate any relevant replies. Thank you.

According to a few users on Steam, the answer is yes.

It's worth noting inXile/Krome's official stance on it though: "Microsoft has ended support for Windows 7, so we're not testing the OS for compatibility. It could work perfectly fine, however we aren't offering support for it, and couldn't guarantee updates past release wouldn't cause the game to be unplayable for those on the older OS."

It's far worse than that...you seem to be missing the plan to upgrade to Windows 7. Security updates really are a 'thing' and all Windows 7 machines now become targets for new exploits that are found (and patched in Windows 10) but will be leave Windows 7 machines in a vulnerable state.

If you have Windows 7 license, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free, so just do it. They've gotten most of the bugs out, so games generally run well (and are supported! as per the devs statement!) so there is very little reason to not upgrade now.

So I would suggest no, don't buy it, or any game and either A) expect support for it and B) think you'll just 'keep yourself safe'.

Every game you buy that 'still works' on Windows 7 is yet another excuse to ignore the threat of real, potential danger to your system, your data and your money. Don't think you're cleverer than the scammers/hackers out there. You need to keep all your stuff safe...they only need one crack to slip through. Their job is far, far easier.
