I don't have Wasteland 2 but am considering purchasing it. Can someone who has the game describe how playable it is with a controller? I'm having a hard time imagining how playing an isometric party-based RPG with a controller would work.

If it is for Xbox One:

... then it must work with a controller.

It's quite playable with a controller. Both XBox 360/One and PS4 controllers are natively supported and will display the proper button prompts for each. Coming from a long history of playing isometric strategy and tactical RPGs (Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Vandal Hearts, Disgaea series, etc.), I'm pretty used to navigating maps and menus with the controller.

Of course, if you prefer, it's also just as easily played via mouse and keyboard. =)
